Jim Baker, President and CEO/CTO
Mr. Baker has spent 25+ years developing wireless and wired communications systems at Harris Corp., COMSAT, Loral, and GTE. He has also been a principal at three successful wireless start-up ventures; NetWave, Time Domain and Alereon. He had a successful sale of one venture-funded company and led the spin out of a new venture-funded company from an existing company. Mr. Baker has a BSEE degree from Clemson University and earned an MS Systems Management degree from Florida Institute of Technology.

Sy Prestwich, VP Research and Chief Scientist, Founder
Mr. Prestwich brings 12 years of experience in wireless, signal processing and product development work at firms including 3Com and Micro Linear. He has nine patents in antenna design and miniaturized-radio technology. Mr. Prestwich earned BSEE and MSEE Cum Laude degrees in electrical engineering from Utah State University.

 

Scott Bevan, VP Hardware Development, Founder
Mr. Bevan is a seasoned engineer with more than 14 years of experience in digital chip development, board level hardware development, and signal processing, as well as additional experience in systems administration and software development at USRobotics, 3Com, Texas Instruments, and Micro Linear. He earned BSEE and MSEE degrees in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University.

Ken Arneson, VP Business Development
Mr. Arneson served for nine years in various senior management roles, including VP of Business Development, within McCaw Cellular (AT&T Wireless) Messaging Division. He later co-founded Xypoint, which he sold to TeleCommunication Systems (NASDAQ: TSYS) in 2001. He co-founded two additional companies, Chameleon Technology and Canoe Networks. Chameleon Technology serviced the municipal WiFi and broadband market and was later sold to Secured Services, Inc. Mr. Arneson received his BA in Business and Accounting from Washington State University and is a CPA.

Eliot Weitz, VP Software Engineering
Mr. Weitz has 20+ years of experience delivering application and enterprise software solutions to the telecommunications, automotive, life sciences, and defense industries. He was CTO at 5square Systems, Director of Engineering at GenSys Software, CTO of Medstory.com, and Director of Application Development for Vertical Networks. Prior to these positions, Mr. Weitz held engineering management positions at several startups in the Silicon Valley including Sense8, ViewStar, and Advanced Decision Systems. He holds a MS in Computer Science from the University of Utah, and a BS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is a member of the Associate for Computing Machinery, and is the holder of one US Patent.

 

Keith Pugmire, VP Finance
Mr. Pugmire is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 20 years of experience in the wireless industry at AT&T Wireless, Nextel and McCaw Communications.  His experience includes finance and accounting, marketing and business development.  He also spent over six years at KPMG Peat Marwick in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City auditing and advising small and medium size companies.  Mr. Pugmire graduated from the University of Utah Magna Cum Laude with a degree in accounting.
