RECON DYNAMICS Acquires Assets of S5 Wireless to Commercialize Innovative Next-Generation Location and Monitoring Technologies

Wireless Industry Veteran, Perry Satterlee, named Chief Executive Officer. Secures New Funding from Eagle River Partners

KIRKLAND, Wa. (February 25, 2010) -- RECON DYNAMICS, LLC (www.RECONDYNAMICS.com) announced today that it has acquired the assets of S5 Wireless, a leading developer of next-generation, terrestrial-based technologies that enable highly accurate, low-cost and power-efficient wireless tracking, monitoring and control services.

RECON Dynamics will use S5 Wireless’ patented signaling technology to initially roll out tracking and telemetry services that will provide unprecedented wireless location and remote monitoring capabilities for large industrial, construction, educational, transportation and military facilities.

The company also announced it has appointed Perry Satterlee its chief executive officer. A 20-year veteran in the wireless industry, Satterlee brings extensive executive leadership experience building and growing successful wireless service companies, including Clearwire, where he served as president and chief operating officer, Nextel Partners, Nextel and McCaw Cellular Communications. Joining the team at RECON Dynamics will be S5 Wireless’ Jim Baker, who will serve as chief technology officer, and Ken Arneson, who will serve as vice president of business development. Satterlee, Baker and Arneson joined RECON Dynamics following an investment in the company by Eagle River Partners, LLC.

RECON Dynamics’ unique tracking and telemetry solutions offer excellent indoor and outdoor coverage and extraordinary battery life (lasting years versus days) and are coupled with extremely low-cost end user devices, resulting in unsurpassed performance and a lower total cost of ownership than experienced with current technologies.

“Previously, the inherent limitations of today’s satellite and cellular networks made existing tracking and telemetry capabilities either impractical or uneconomical for several desired applications,” said Satterlee, chief executive officer. “I believe RECON Dynamics is well positioned to meet the customer demand for enhanced tracking and monitoring solutions. The new applications and services to be provided by RECON Dynamics have the potential to pay for themselves, many times over, by bringing companies increased productivity, enhanced safety, improved efficiency, greater awareness of location and performance, and a reduction in lost assets.”
